Authors - Arthur Phillips

Arthur Phillips, the author of "Groundhog Day," was born in Minneapolis and educated at Harvard. He has been a child actor, a jazz musician, a speechwriter, a dismally failed entrepreneur, and a five-time Jeopardy! champion.

His first novel, "Prague," was a national bestseller and a New York Times Notable Book, won the Los Angeles Times/Art Seidenbaum prize for best first novel, and has been translated into 11 languages. "The Egyptologist" was a U.S. and international bestseller, published in 21 countries. It was a New York Times Book Review Editor's Pick.

His third novel, "Angelica," will be published by Random House in April. He lives in New York with his wife and two sons.
