Lara Tupper is the author of the new novel “A Thousand and One Nights” (Harcourt). The Boston Globe praised it as “shrewdly observed and redolent of inside information about life behind the door marked ‘Private.’”
She is a graduate of the MFA program for writers at Warren Wilson College — and a former lounge singer who has performed at sea in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and on land in Thailand, Japan, China and the United Arab Emirates.
Lara now teaches fiction writing at Rutgers University and lives in New York City. She is also a frequent book reviewer for The Believer.
