Darin Strauss is the author of the international best-selling novels “More Than It Hurts You,” “Chang and Eng” and “The Real McCoy,” a New York Times notable book and one of the New York Public Library’s “25 Books to Remember of 2002.” His work has been translated into 14 languages.
His latest book is the memoir “Half A Life” (McSweeney’s). The New York Times says that “what is truly exceptional here is watching a writer of fine fiction probe, directly, carefully and with great humility, the source from which his fiction springs.”
In 2006, Darin was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction writing. He teaches writing at New York University.
