Edward Schwarzschild is the author of the novel “Responsible Men” (Algonquin), and a story collection, “The Family Diamond.”
In a review of the new collection, Publisher’s Weekly observed that “the bonds of love are alternately tenuous and tensile in Schwarzschild’s acutely observed and quietly affecting stories.”
Schwarzschild teaches at the University at Albany, SUNY, where he holds a joint appointment in the English department and the New York State Writers Institute. A former Helen Deutsch Fellow in Creative Writing at Boston University and Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, he has been published in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Southwest Review, StoryQuarterly, Moment Magazine and The Yale Journal of Criticism.
