Lydia Millet is the author of┬áthe novels “Omnivores,” “George Bush, Dark Prince of Love,” “My Happy Life,” “Everyone’s Pretty,” “Oh! Pure and Radiant Heart” and “How the Dead Dream.”

A story collection, “Love in Infant Monkeys,” will be published in October.

“My Happy Life” won the 2003 PEN-USA award for fiction. In its review, the Memphis Commercial Appeal said that “if there were justice in the world, Lydia Millet’s novel would become not merely a cult book … but an exemplar. This, we would say, is how to write a novel that’s impossible to forget.”

In its review of “How the Dead Dream,” Salon raved that “The writing is always flawlessly beautiful, reaching for an experience that precedes language itself.”
