Jay McInerney’s latest book is a story collection, “How It Ended,” which will be published in April.

His many critically acclaimed and best selling novels include “Bright Lights, Big City,” “The Good Life,” “Ransom,” “Story of My Life” and “Brightness Falls.”

He is also the author of two books about wine, “A Hedonist in the Cellar” and “Bacchus and Me,” which Robert Parker praised as “some of the finest writing on the subject … brilliant, witty, comical and often shamelessly candid.”

McInerney, the 2006 recipient of the James Beard Foundation’s M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award, writes a wine column which appears monthly in House & Garden magazine. He is also a contributing editor of New York magazine.
