Frangello, Gina

Gina Frangello is the author of the novel “My Sister’s Continent” and the collection “Slut Lullabies,” which will be published in May 2010.

The longtime editor of the literary magazine Other Voices, she co-founded its book imprint, Other Voices Books, in 2005 and is now the executive editor of its Chicago office.  She is also the editor of the fiction section at The Nervous Breakdown.

Her short fiction has appeared in many venues including Prairie Schooner, StoryQuarterly, Homewrecker: An Adultery Reader (Soft Skull) and the Chicago Reader. 

She teaches at Columbia College Chicago and Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies, blogs for The Huffington Post, has contributed book reviews and freelance journalism to numerous publications including the Chicago Tribune and was the guest-editor of the anthology Falling Backwards: Stories of Fathers and Daughters.
