Allen, Dwight

Dwight Allen is the author of the new novel “The Typewriter Satyr,” as well as the story collection “The Green Suit” and the novel “Judge.”

“Allen writes about . . . ordinary life with such pleasing, perceptive assurance that it becomes revelatory,” raved The New Yorker.

The Los Angeles Times called “The Green Suit” a “wonder of a book,” and T.C. Boyle described “Judge” as “one of the most accomplished first novels I’ve ever read.”

A graduate of Lawrence University and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he was a Teaching-Writing Fellow, Allen lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
